First time being the receptionist

 On Saturday June 15, my Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature held an event called EFAIR which stands for Excellent, Flexibility, Aspiration, Integrity and Responsibility. This was the first time that my department organized such a big event. Everybody from the students to the teachers prepared for the event enthusiastically. There were many activities such as EF Soft-skills, EF Can cook, EF Gallery Walk, EFuture Translation’s contest and so on…

I was in charge of the Buffet which was a meeting for the former students (alumni). I was the leader of receptionists in my team, so I felt extremely excited about this position. I was a little bit sad because I couldn’t work with my best friends. They were in charge of buffet service. My teammates were cute and friendly. We had a good time working together, especially when we had to bring the heavy tables towards the buffet area in the hall. Then our job was to greet the guests, noting down their information, and gave them little stickers. We were really impressed by the former students who were making a good career now. Some of them even came with their kids. Some of them shared about their life. I really like the story of two students in same class now got married.

After the buffet, the guests went upstairs to enjoy the EF Gala performance. I and other volunteers stayed at the hall to clean up and arranged the tables. It was such a memorable experience. We also feel very proud when wearing our department’s uniform.

My best friends
