[Review] 7-level Larva Spicy noodles

Studying for a whole day at the university is often tiring and boring. Therefore, to liven up the spirit, we decided to try spicy noodles after class. There is a trend for the 7-level spicy food these days, so we took the challenge at the Larva Spicy Noodles restaurant.

Today we took 10 periods from the morning to the afternoon, so it was a long day for all of us. I even had to work in the evening, but I still managed to spend some time with my classmate at the Larva Spicy Noodles restaurant. The restaurant is small, but cozy and attractive with the bright design. The theme of the restaurant draws the sheer inspiration from the Korean cartoon called Larva, so there are a lot of decoration related to Larva. Looking at the humourous Larva characters made me feel very funny.

The 7-level spicy noodles are the signature dish of the restaurant, so we definitely tried that dish. However, my friends just tried 0.5- level spicy noodles at first because if we want to raise the spicy noodles, we can ask the cook, but if we ordered a really spicy dish, we cannot downgrade the spicy level.

After a few minute, I decided to raise to 1- level dish at first. I normally can eat very spicy food, but I struggled with the first level of spicy noodles. Besides the spicy taste, the noodles looked very attractive with the seafood, eggs, sausages and vegetables. The big shrimp and the octopus tasted fresh and delicious. The hot broth was the most remarkable feature of the noodles. The sweet taste from the seafood went well with the spicy taste.

Then we ordered the Thai Milk Tea, takoyaki and Tteokbokki with cheese. The Thai Milk Tea tasted sweet at first, and it can help relieve the spicy taste of the noodles. The fried tteokbokki was crunchy and scented with cheese. However, I did not get used to this dry type of tteokbokki. I prefer the one with the spicy gochujang spicy sauce. The takoyaki was the fried ball-shaped snack made of wheat flour and small octopus. This was the best delicious snack I had ever tried. The crust tasted hot and crunchy while the filling with the fresh octopus felt chewy. The hot sauce covering the snack enhanced the distinctive flavour. Takoyaki is the good snack that you should give it a try.
