Vietnamese Lunar New Year holiday called ‘Tet’ is the time when family members gather together after a long year of working. My family enjoy spending these precious days off relaxing and cooking together.
The bright yellow apricot blossoms are the signs of a happy beginning, so my family always spare some time to select a yellow apricot tree for New Year decoration. This beautiful tree brings out the new year spirit in the South of Vietnam.
Located near the train rails, Phap Hoa pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city is famous for the beautiful designs and the dedicated medical treatment. I and my mom often pay a visit to this pagoda in the Lunar New Year.
As for my family, one of the traditional activities in the Lunar New Year is to pay a visit to the pagodas around the city. In spite of not having much time, we still managed to visit several pagodas near our neighborhood.
