We were impressed by the fresh and green look of the Sand Garden resort. The coconut trees grew along the path to the gateway. The grass field spread out in the open air. The wooden swing on the grass was waving in the wind. There were also a lot of ancient furniture inside. We felt like being lost in the museum.
We walking upstairs to the restaurant at Sand Garden resort. A wide range of seafood was offered to the customers and we decided to order the steamed shrimp with beer. The big fresh shrimps were flavored with minced lemongrass, seasonings, onions and other spices. Then they were steamed with beer in a big pot for a period of time. The flavor of beer was easily absorbed into the shrimps and it tasted very delicious. The feeling of peeling the shrimp and savoring the soft sweet shrimp with the beer was unforgettable.
The egg salad tasted distinctive because this salad used the vegetables called ‘Rau Càng Cua’(Peperomia Pellucida). This type of vegetables is crispy and a little bit sour. We often use them to make salad with eggs, tomatoes and minced pork or sliced beef.
We talked about the trip and polished off the rest of the meals. The fried squids tasted crispy and quite chewy. The fried chicken were soaked in the special sauce with a distinctive scent. There were even the grilled pork skewers with the strong smoke taste. The hot carrot and potato soup tasted very cool and sweet with the broth from stewed pork.
