Shi Fu Dim Sum Restaurant

Today I and my friends went to a Chinese Restaurant named Shi Fu. This is the first time I have went to a Chinese Restaurant. Although this is a Chinese restaurant, the assistants are all Vietnamese.

Only the food are made in Chinese style. The decoration here is in red and white theme, so the restaurant is very attractive. In marketing, food companies often use red color to give people special impression.

Egg tarts are my favourite ones. This is the dish that I always order whenever entering a Chinese restaurant. I love the bright color of the pastry crust and the yellow egg custard. Just looking at the little cute egg tart lightens up my mood. They remind me of the bright sunflowers. The egg tarts of Shi Fu Dim Sum restaurant are smaller than I expected. However, it’s worth trying these delicious egg tarts. I love the feeling of biting the flaky pastry crust and savouring the smooth silky egg custard flown from the inside. The egg custard filling is soft, smooth and melts in my mouth, which creates a very wonderful feeling.

SHRIMP DUMPLINGS

My friend ordered the hot dumplings with shrimp fillings. The steamed shrimp dumplings are served hot, so it takes a long time to wait for the food. Any way, the dumplings seem very delicious with the thin wheat starch skin and the savoury chopped-up shrimp fillings.

STEAMED DUMPLINGS

The steamed dumplings with special fillings are also delicious. The filling is the Shu mai( ground pork with special sauce), which creates a beautiful texture for the dumplings. There are only three dumplings for each portion because as you know, Dim Sum refers to a style of Cantonese food with small portions.

SHIFU FRIED NOODLES WITH PORK

Next is the Shi Fu fried noodles with pork. This dish is very common, but the remarkable feature of the noodles are the special flavoured sliced pork. The noodles are a little bit chewy.

PAN-FRIED RICE ROLLS WITH SOY SAUCE

Finally is the pan-fried rice rolls with soy sauce. Rice rolls are steamed noodles rolled up into a roll. The noodles are basically white, but the soy sauce dyes the rolls brown and creates a salty flavour. The fillings are full of different ingredients such as shrimp, pepper and green onions. Some toasted sesame seeds are sprinkled over the dish for decoration.
